During a random check, the commander of a Czech Customs Unit discovers a group of immigrants in a van’s cargo area. The chaotic incident is taken advantage of by an underage boy who flees into the surrounding forests. The commander tries to deal with the ensuing situation according to the rules but slowly he becomes undecided whether to follow orders or his own conscience. A night that shakes his faith in the system he represents.

A moment of misunderstanding and a lost embrace has stretched into many years all the way to this hospital room, until the moment when a window pane breaks under the impact of a little bird.

Mezipatra is a queer film festival organized by non-profit organizations Mezipatra and STUD Brno. Every year, it introduces around a hundred Czech and foreign films centred around LGBTQ+ issues, and their creators. The films are apprised by a professional jury as a part of a prestigious international competition. Inherent part of the program are the accompanying discussions, lectures, workshops, exhibitions and parties. The festival’s main part takes place in Prague and Brno, and its echoes follow in selected towns across the Czech Republic.

The Barriers Account is one of only a handful of foundations that financially supports the removal of architectural barriers. The contributed to the refitting of sanitary facilities in apartments, the purchase of mobile platforms (staircase lifts or elevators) that remove barriers on the access ways to apartments and houses. They also supported a number of projects that removed access barriers to public buildings.

And who are you?

Is a powerful slogan and a song that with a sense of humour which pulls out the topic of conformity, “normality” and a stereotypical view on diversity. A remake of the original song from Dr. Max (1986), And Who Are You is directed by Štěpán Fok Vodrážka with lead actor and co-director Miroslav Krobot. It was fitting for MagicLab to grade the music video and thus complete this series of art videos which we have collaborated on with FOK this year.
